More Bored Jar Ideas

bored jar

Earlier in the week I wrote about our Bored Jar over at Mum’s Business. Basically grab a jar and fill it with strips of paper with activity ideas to keep the kids amused. In writing that post I had lots more ideas for fun activities to write on the papers so here’s some more:

Fun Ideas:

  • make up a song, dance or story
  • listen to a CD
  • walk to the park
  • jump on the trampoline or ride a bike
  • play hide and seek
  • phone a friend for a chat
  • build a cubby house
  • make an obstacle course
  • have a water fight
  • dress up
  • pretend to be a hairdresser
  • decorate cupcakes
  • put on a show
  • make a bracelet

Your Turn

What kinds of things do you have your kids do when they complain of being bored? Tell me with your Top 3 ideas…

Hi lovely Tonya! How are you? I’m pretty lucky that my kids haven’t said that to me ‘yet’. All I seem to have heard these last holidays is “she hit me”, “he hit me”, “she won’t give it back” etc etc. Can you make up a jar of something to deal with that? LOL Fantastic idea. I’m featuring it at tomorrow’s party. Thanks for linking up. I really appreciate it.

    Anne xx
