My favourite baby gift

by Tonya Grant |Filed Under: Sewing Tagged With: Clothes, Cross Stitch, Gifts, Kids, Stitching Get a Weekly Update of all Articles

There’s been  quite a few babies arriving in my world lately.
And I LOVE making and giving handmade baby gifts!
Those who’ve been reading for a while will recognise this as
one of my favourite gifts
– my “go-to” gift, if you like.
It’s simple and pretty but useful too.
A simple flannel wrap – nice and big –
and a singlet with a little cross stitch on the front.
(I’ve been wondering about doing a tutorial on the singlet
next time I make one.)

Update: Here’s the tutorial for stitching the singlet and here’s how I make the flannel wraps.

Great idea! Hopefully I don't have to use it anytime soon though. My oldest son in only 18. Hopefully I can use it for someone else.

Great idea. As far as I am concerned you can never have enough wraps…especially ones that are big enough! A tutorial would be great! The singlet is sweet.

What an adorable gift idea! I have been making little blankies for baby gifts, but I think I will need to add some embroidered onesies to my list! Thanks for sharing!
