9 Patterns to Sew a Laptop Case

by Tonya Grant |Filed Under: Sewing Get a Weekly Update of all Articles

It’s that time of year when those lucky people who have new laptops and tablets are looking for patterns to make cases to protect them. I made a laptop sleeve for my Macbook a couple of years ago and it has been getting lots of Pinterest traffic in the last couple of says.

But a couple of people have asked about printable patterns and I wondered what else is out there. So I’ve spent some time on Etsy this morning searching for PDF pattenrs that you can buy and download immediately.

Perhaps one of these will be just what you’re looking for!

Just click the pictures to go to Etsy and find out more about each pattern.

This laptop sleeve from MCT Bags looks really smart with the contrasting fabric, includes 3 different sizes and the option to add an inner pocket.

This clever pattern from Annika’s Sewing Corner comes with two different sizes and multiple inner pockets to keep both your device and extra stationery secure.

This colourful design by Susie D Designs gives a real chance to make it suit your personality with your fabric choices!

I really like this envelope design laptop case by Botene Creations and there are a number of other designs in her Shop as well.

I love the options in this design from OhKoey – different fabric combinations and different closure options as well.

This design from Wives of Whitewood has it all – 4 different size options and pockets galore as well as a cute design that’s unique.

This case is actually to fit an iPad or smaller eReader but I love the concept of having the zipped section for cords so I wanted to include it in this collection. It is from Indygo Junction.

Another super clever but cute case with pockets for everything from Snapdragon Studios and sized for any laptop.

Lastly, a laptop bag with handles and shoulder strap from Gaila Designs.

I hope you’ve found something that will work for your laptop and I’d love to hear from you if you try any of these patterns.
