Crafty Storage: Zippers

I recently got a big order of zippers from Zipit. Great price and fast delivery, but now where would I put them?!

It was time to think about storage for zippers. My answer was zip lock bags. I wrote the sizes on the front – 3″, 4″, 8″, 10″ 12″ and 14″ – yes, lots of zippers! They’re clear so it’s easy to see what I have. I popped them into a basket under my sewing table.

Now I’m all set to make millions of pencil cases and coin purses!

How to you store things in your sewing room?

I was on a sewing roll and decided to just order lots. Besides, every time I have to buy one at Spotlight, I think about how much cheaper they are online

Great idea! I store all my buttons and elastic in different size mason jars on a shelf. It looks pretty and it is all organized!

I recently ordered from them too! I just did a search on Etsy for zips and was blown away at the awesome prices, and was super impressed with the service. I’ll definitely be ordering all my future zipper needs from there 🙂

I LOVE Zipit! It like to just go there and look at all the beautiful colors on one page! It always inspires me to want to make more things! They are superior quality, and have great prices! And yes, service is always so fast, and wonderful! I currently store mine in a box, but most are stored in a plastic storage box (like Rubbermaid).

    Happy Sewing!

I agree. I think it was the “rainbows” that caught my eye!

I am DEFINITELY going to buy zips from ZipIt from now on!! I had no idea it existed… thankyou for sharing. Now if only they could be stored as beautifully as they are photographed on the site. I’ll probably end up using snaplock bags like you!!

Great idea! It is very practical for it will save space and the time to find that suitable size of zipper. Thanks for the share!

I love Zipit for Zippers, and store mine the same. I hate it when I need a zipper and have to buy one locally they are so expensive to buy in stores compared to zipit.
