This next book in our series of Advent books was purchased partly for myself, I must admit. I’ve sung the carol about Good King Wenceslas for years but never known the story. Little Miss (8) said she enjoyed this story about how Christmas is about more than just presents.

Good King Wenceslas is one of my two favourite Christmas carols. The other is The Little Drummer Boy. Then again, the more I think about it, I also love Joy To the World, We Three Kings…. They are all lovely.
