I’ve been playing catch up a little on my Craftsy Block of the Month, the free class I started earlier this year. I’ve just finished the June block – even though we’re in September! I know, a little late. But life is busy and there are lots of projects on the go – like the ModernQAL and the CrochetAlong.
Anyway I love this block! It is called LeMoyne Star and I’ve always wanted to make one. I think part of the reason I’m doing this June block in September is because I was a little scared of this one so I’ve been putting it off. It was a little tricky. There are something called Y-seams in this block which require a little care and PINS! (I avoid pinning anything if I can get away with it so to have to pin almost every seam was time-consuming!)
But I’m so pleased with the result. It looks great. There are a couple of small tucks where I didn’t quite get the joins perfect but for a first try at Y-seams I’m pretty chuffed. I was so pleased with my progress that I made a little Vine video:

It looks great. Y seams are scary… and I avoid them too 😉

It’s beautiful. It does look tricky, but you did very, very well.
