The Giveaway is now closed but I hope you still make it to Easterfest 2014.
Congratulations to Danyell and Adrian and family!
Easterfest 2014 is going to be huge. There are some amazing musicians coming to play and lots of incredible events all around Toowoomba related to the Festival.
Wait a minute… did I hear you say “What is Easterfest?” Sorry. My fault. I’m a little over-excited about this.
Backing up…
Easterfest is a music festival that happens in Toowoomba every year on Easter weekend. This year that means 18-20 April. Musicians come from all around the world to play here and it takes over our big central park, Queen’s Park, as well as a bunch of other venues around town. It runs all weekend and includes something for everyone from kids to youth to families to adults and oldies. It is Australia’s largest drug and alcohol free festival so it is perfect for families, and I’ll be taking my family this year and blogging about it. Easterfest is all about the message of Easter and this year’s theme is ‘Crazy Love’.
It is huge… and fun… and I’m excited to be involved! I’ll be particularly checking out all the fun for kids and families across the weekend – which my kids are thrilled to hear! We’ll be hanging out in the Kids World run by SUQld where they’ll be able to play games and do activities while I grab a coffee. We’ll be listening to bands and hanging out with friends.

Crazy love to me means showing love to anyone and everyone in the most special ways possible, not holding back for anything <3
J Wilson says
When you do crazy things for the people you love. Like when you dance in the middle of the street to buskers with your kids, skip with your 5 year old through the middle of a busy shopping centre, scream across a carpark to your husband that you love him.
grace says
Crazy Love to me at the moment is the love that holds firm and strong while the crazy goes on around… while emotions sway and swing… while life bursts at the seams Crazy Love sits quietly holding your hand.
Trish says
Crazy love is the way God loves us. It’s completely unfathomable, unconditional and self sacrificing. The other day I read a Facebook quote that said, ‘ There comes a time when you need to stop jumping oceans for people who won’t jump puddles for you.’ Well crazy loves says keep on jumping no matter who they are, no matter what they’ve done. All of us struggle to love with crazy love. Just like the Guy Sebastian song says ‘I’m still learning the art of love. I’m still trying to not mess up.’ Only God can really love with crazy love 100% of the time! but I hope that I am getting better at it as The Holy Spirit teaches me.
Btw crazy love in Spanish is loco amor.
Lisa says
Crazy love is that moment when all the emotional impulses go away and you are left standing beside the one you married, your best friend, knowing that on this earth you will love them forever and would die for them without a second whisper of the wind. That’s deep and crazy love.
Kylie says
To me, showing crazy love is putting other people’s happiness and feelings before you own. For example, I show crazy love in my house like this….my husband is a personal trainer. I really don’t like gym workouts very much at all but I let him train me 2-3 times a week in the gym because he enjoys doing it and I love him!! Crazy love?? Or maybe just crazy! Haha!
Peter says
Crazy love is doing loving people who don’t deserve it, just because they are people
Carla says
Crazy Love is the love of a parent for a child. The love that turns a normally sane person into a myrid of other beings…..a blubbering mess at the thought of something bad happening to your child, a wildly passionate advocate for your child, an about-to-explode-with-pride being when you witness your child going beyond your expectations, a protective mother-bear when danger is imminent, a sleep-deprived zombie who still manages another trip to the park….to name just a few.
I thought I understood the sacrifice the Lord made for me through Jesus….but I didn’t truly understand until I was a parent.
Crazy love is love with a power beyond any human understanding or reasoning.
Selena says
Crazy love is the backwards kind of love that loves despite everything. Like loving your enemies, loving when the person doesn’t deserve it, loving when it’s not returned, loving when you don’t feel like it. You can’t do this kind of love without first receiving His Love!
Sara W says
Crazy Love
You call me crazy and I think you’re right.
For I get next to no sleep at night.
And it’s all my fault! I asked for this!
These little ones to hug and to kiss.
But there is much more crazy in me,
I love this man unconditionally
Even when he’s tired and not helping out
For that is what crazy love is about.
It’s actions when the feelings have mellowed
Still choosing to see the good in this fellow.
Love is sacrificing for friends
Asking forgiveness and making amends
Crazier still is the love for a stranger
It’s crying my heart out for those trapped in danger
Who know not my face or my name or my heart
Which is rather illogically breaking apart.
So I give all I can of my money and time
And I pray that somehow they will make it just fine.
And those who oppose me, I love them as well
And it shocks them out of their boots, I can tell.
This love is more than words in a song.
It’s pure in spirit and it’s bonds are strong.
My love is insane, it doesn’t make sense
You may even think that I’m slightly dense.
You call me crazy and I may agree
But somebody first was crazy for me.
Gemma Rowling says
Crazy love is waking up to big sloppy baby kisses at 5am then snuggling till its time to get up
Lyndrea Lynch says
Crazy love is life & living
In boundless ways of endless giving.
It’s hands that are open to hearts that are broken;
Feet to bring hope at the stub of one’s rope.
Giving of self with no vow of return…
‘Tis for crazy love we all do yearn.
Sal Smith says
My 10yr old says crazy love means that you love them so much that you would go to jail for them?? or die for them & stuff like that.
My 12yr old says crazy love means being so in love that you go a bit nutty (translated crazy) in the head, and can’t stop thinking about the person/people you love
My 15yr old says crazy love means showing your love in expressive crazy ways
My husband says crazy love is the love of the unloveable, and to be cautious of the popular
And I say it means what I do (or at least try to do) every day, living a life showing love and grace to my family, friends and strangers. The perfect example of crazy love is the love God showed first, by loving us, even when we didn’t deserve to be loved, and going out of his way to find a way for us to be in relationship with him.
Danyell Bruton says
My husband says crazy love is performing an interpretive dance in the rain to impress someone who wouldn’t look at you twice.
* Crazy love is sharing your last piece of pizza.
* Crazy love is allowing your wife to hold the remote control.
* Crazy love is watching Gilmore Girls with your wife instead of Seinfeld.
* Crazy love is trying to find a shop thats open at 2 am to buy Sara Lee French Vanilla ice cream for your pregnant wife.
* Crazy love is organising a romantic proposal in a limousine on the way to a fancy restaurant and then forgetting your wallet.
I think crazy love is just a word till someone comes along and gives it meaning. God really gave it meaning. I wouldn’t send any of my sons to die for anyone, yet He did for us.
Rowena says
Crazy love to me is a love that is so huge and immense and life changing. Eg God gave his son to die on the cross for our sins. This is crazy love!
Jessica Hughes says
crazy love is showering anybody and everybody you meet witg kindness and love just because you can. Because thats what God does for us 🙂
Jodie says
Crazy love is the way God loved us so much He sent His only son to die for us. There is no way to fathom the depth of His love because to us it can only be described crazy.
Alexa Josic says
Crazy Love is this wild malfunction of the brain which floods the heart with gratitude, causes eyes to sparkle, cheeks to glow & blood pressure to rise. It’s perfect love when shared!
Niomie says
Crazy love is Gods way when the world says “no way, impossible, cant be done”.
Ben says
All love is crazy but that’s what makes it so great. Love from our children, love from others and love from God. At times it does not make sense but we continue to love anyway. It causes us to do crazy things, but it makes us human and alive. It even makes us enter creative competitions so our children can possibly enjoy Easterfest 2014. Crazy love.

Ben,
I could see your cool “face” in my email version but it hasn’t come out well here in WordPress 🙁
Craig says
Love is indescribable… probably the most misunderstood word and emotion we encounter. Crazy isn’t it… the deepest most treasured human emotion… not fully grasped… so often distorted and misunderstood. Maybe “Crazy” describes what we do to love… or at the very least how we don’t show it often??
I can imagine Yoda saying something like, “Crazy it is that we have love but spend our life searching for something else”. So often we give love because of what we get in return. But really Crazy Love is a kind of love that doesn’t make sense. Love that does not appear rational, is not calculated by logic and nor is it motivated by the “returns”. CRAZY LOVE is an investment that sits in stark contrast to most human investments, an investment made for another’s benefit. Crazy Love is totally 100% governed by how it benefits another with little or no regards for self. It’s CRAZY I know… but it’s real!!!
CRAZY LOVE means that I can be broken with little to offer and yet, despite have nothing to give in return, someone still chooses to love me… and visa versa. That’s mighty crazy if you ask me!
Rhiannan says
CRazy love is sharing the love of Christ to others who might not necessarily want or deserve it. Its selfless love with all your heart.
Fleur says
crazy love = forgiveness when it is not deserved, giving when I don’t have enough. Grace. God’s ability working through me. Thats Crazy. coz i am not able in my own strength.I am not enough. God’s crazy love enables me to love the unlovable (those who take me out of my comfort zone, those i don’t understand.)Crazy love is unconditonal. WOW. so not what today’s world says. Thank God for his CRAZY LOVE!!!!!!!!
L Maree says
Crazy Love, especially at a festival, is hoisting your nephew up on your shoulders so he can see the band you both love, even if you can’t!
Sandra Dyson says
CRAZY LOVE is unconditional, limitless, and selfless. It flies in the face of how the god of this world manipulates humanity to conform to a false doctrine of “I am”! A love of self, above all else.
CRAZY LOVE is a man, born of a virgin, being nailed to an old wooden cross, in our place.
CRAZY LOVE is that man was GOD. God becoming flesh, to redeem. Once and for all.
CRAZY LOVE is being a fool for Christ. For HIM. For that man. Because in the world’s eyes, that is CRAZY!
Tonya Grant says
Thanks for adding your comment, Sandra. The giveaway was drawn last Friday night as it says at the top of the post, but it has been so interesting to read everyone’s comments.
