Friday again?! Where did the week go?
Have you had a crafty week?
This week I’ve collected some sewing projects that you can create for kids. Whether as gifts for friends or grandchildren, or for your own kids, these are useful projects that can be personalised with their favourite fabric.
Elastic Book Strap
This book strap is a great way to keep a pile of books or folders together with a pen or two ready to go. It would be a great gift for a teen heading to high school where they will have to carry books between classes.
I-Spy Quilt
This I-Spy quilt is one of my favourite projects ever for my kids. I love the idea of having all the different fabrics giving them lots to search for and the bright colours are always so cheerful. This lives on the end of my son’s bed these days.
Fabric Bookmarks
Another super simple project are these fabric bookmarks. Mine were made with scraps for Mother’s Day gifts but they would be great in bright kids fabrics too for your budding readers.
Seat Belt Cover
This tutorial came out of my kid’s complaints about the seat belts in the car rubbing their necks. It has a little padding of softness and velcro so it can be easily switched to Dad’s car when we need to.
