Time for another update on my progress with the “365 Things I Know” project on Instagram. So far I have indeed managed to share something I know every day. Some of them have a crafty twist. Some of them give you a peek into life at Crafty HQ. Enjoy!
If you’re not already following me on Instagram, find me here so you can see my daily posts.
Day 11
My project might look dodgy now with all those creases when I take the hoop off but that is part of the process. It is not a project if it stays perfect during the process. I guess this could apply to my life too.

Day 12
Super hot days call for hair up! This is my go to messy up do, best done with wet hair and lots of bobby pins.
Read my one and only hair post here.
Day 13
This parenting gig is hard work. Family games can turn into serious discussions about sportsmanship and relationship and responsibility at the drop of a hat. So proud of my kids stepping up & stepping out though.
We were playing Rummikub – find it here.
Day 14
This cute little quilt ruler made cutting a bunch of 2.5″ squares SO EASY! By Creative Grids via #SewSampler & @fatquartershop
Find the 2.5″ Creative Grids ruler here.
Day 15
I’m kind of relieved to finish this block. Somehow I had gotten stuck on this stitchery and lost interest, but now I have only one block left. Yay! So I’m reminded of a truth l already knew: when I persevere with a project, I’m inevitably happier and satisfied with the result.
Day 16
An unexpected gift is extra special. My boy went out to play then popped back in with flowers for me. A tiny jam jar made a perfect vase.
Day 17
As much as I LOVE my workmates, I’d rather not be at work. If I was at home, I’d be able to edit pics of my new apron so I can share them on the blog. Oh well. Maybe tomorrow. Here’s a sneak peek.
See the finished project here.
Day 18
The more I work on cross stitch again, the more I’m itching to try the challenge of stitching on linen again. This is a super close-up of a section of the project I made to celebrate our wedding years ago.
Read more about this project here.
Day 19
The No Button got a work out while we played backgammon today. As in “Mum won again?!? Nooooooo!”
Find Backgammon here and the No Button here.
Day 20
Early morning is a great time to stitch while it is still cool. We’re expecting 33C today – HOT!
