Cross Stitch Ornaments

christmas ornament cross stitch snowman

I shared my last-minute Christmas decoration making the other day so I thought I’d best let you all know that I did, in fact, finish them and gave them as gifts for Christmas.

I was pretty pleased with the finished results. Each one has a name stitched on them but I have edited the photos a little for family privacy.

The Christmas tree was just the right size, and the snowman really came to life once I completed the outlining in back-stitch.

I have to admit that often the backstitching is my least favourite part of doing cross stitch. I avoided it on the Christmas tree but the snowman really needed that extra detail.

Each one is backed with white felt to cover the stitching and has a gold ribbon to hang them on the tree.

I love the ornaments, I have been cross stitching international Santa and it has been lots of fun.
