I just had to share this beauty! I found it on a blog called Six White Horses (via Pinterest). It is called the Lone Starburst and Anna has generously provided a downloadable template to make this block with paper piecing.
Now I just have to decide what colours to make it up in – any suggestions?
I should learn paper piecing one day… I reckon this would look cool in a rainbow spectrum!
It’s not that hard, Alyce. Now I’m imagining this block with a white background and shades of blue or green or pink. Then the whole quilt would be a rainbow when the blocks were put together.
It’s lovely- – white or cream back ground, lots of tonal colours- you could probably use a layer cake ; it would be a good centre for a small baby medallion style quilt too… I look forward to seeing your decisions
I don’t normally like stars but that’s an amazing block, isn’t it?
I think I would do rainbow dark in middle to bursting out bright yellow!
