I’ve made a bunch of rainbow projects over the years so here are five that you could start today.
Click on the individual project pictures below to find the details and tutorials.
Rainbow Crochet Blanket
This blanket is super simple as it is all the same stitch. The colours change to create the rainbow but you could easily use more or less colours and adjust the number and width of the rows to make this blanket in any size you wanted.
Rainbow Cross Stitch Blocks
The rainbow cross stitch blocks were a series I created last year. The blocks are all based off quilt blocks but stitched in cross stitch and rainbow colours. They are perfect for a single motif on a project or as a group. The charts are all free to print.
Rainbow Loom: Tangled Garden
My kids have pulled out their rainbow looms again recently but this is one of their older creations. I just love this bright burst of colour!
Rainbow Mini Quilts
One of the many projects on my list is to create mini quilts from all of the cross stitch rainbow blocks above. I have so far created four of them and they are an easy afternoon or weekend project.
Rainbow Doily Cross Stitch
After stitching so many rainbows I was inspired to create this rainbow doily design. It is so sweet! The pattern is available for a couple of dollars on Craftsy – or free to subscribers to my Weekly News.

I like your idea of rainbow cross stitch blocks. Any out-of-the-box suggestions on how I can use these blocks?
Thanks 🙂
